SNOWGOONSSNOWGOONS

German Lugers
Review by: Marlow "Low" Scruggs

The Snowgoons are clearly one of the most accomplished international production teams in the business. "German Lugers," which is the debute album from Germany's renowned production team on Babygrande Records. The Snowgoons teamed up with hip-hop's independent elite featuring: Sean Price, O.C., Edo G., living Legends, Rasco, Chief Kamachi, Last Emperor, Jus Allah, El Da Sensei, Wise Intelligent, Reef The Lost Cauze, Doujah Raze, MED, Craig G., Celph Titled, Baby Blak, Pumpkinhead, Afu Ra, Wordsworth, Edi Amin, Breez Evahflowin, Majik Most, Kreators, Born Unique, Mitchell Hennessey, and Virtuoso. The entire album is produced by The Snowgoons.

German Lugers are pistols that are extremely accurate due to precise engineering. That being said this album is titled appropriately because bangers such as "Never" featuring Reef The Lost Cauze, "Snowgoons Sonata" featuring Pumpkinhead and "Offensive Lineup" featuring Craig G are among the barrage of hot lead spitting from the chamber of "German Lugers." Although this is a solid effort, there are a couple of duds such as "Man Of The Year" featuring Last Emperor and this is due to a weak hook. Another dud is "Teachers Trademark" featuring Wise Intelligent and that's only because Wise spit so crazy the track wasn't strong enough to compliment his skills.

Overall, this 18 track cd is full of true hip-hop flava. So, if you're still into real hardcore, braggadocios, lyrical fire that's laced with raw, European-styled underground beats; then this is definitely the album to cop.

Prodigy - H.N.I.C. Pt. 2They can lock him down and try to knock him down too, but they can’t quite stop the wrath of Prodigy. With his blog being the topic of discussions on the daily, P isn’t letting anyone forget about him anytime soon. And that was the theme at his album release press party at Smash Studios in Manhattan last week
