Partners-N-Crime, Meana and Kanga the protégés
of Cash Money’s Juvenile have made a nice
freshman effort with “Club Bangers.” A CD
dedicated to having fun, smoking, sexing,
and everything else associated with having
fun.
With 17 Tracks dedicated to everyone’s
favorite past times, how you can knock
this CD. With two guest Appearances by
Juvenile who also gets executive credit,
and an array of guest appearances by Bun
B, Lil Flip and UGK, just to name a few,
you can expect the same formula that has
worked for many southern MC’s continuing
to work for P-N-C. Songs that will make
you move are the title track “Club Bangerz”
which is a nice club track and “Don’t
Hate Me.” Standout tracks include, “Love
Jones” a really great song that blasts
away some of the blubber tracks on the
album and gives you personal insight into
who Meana and Kanga are as people. “That’s
The Way” another really great song with
lovely vocals by Tonya Herron will make
you want to keep the song on repeat.
The whole album, with its sick beats
and good production, is overall enjoyable.
Misses with the album are track placement,
I find the best tracks are mostly at the
end of the album and fillers like “Poo
Shooters” and “Ohh Why” make you wonder
whose decision was it to put these songs
on the album. Some nice touches are funny
skits, and the intro. The album is definitely
going to keep you moving. The music, although
it isn’t rocket science, is good and fun,
and will keep you in a good mood, and
nowadays, isn’t that all we can ask for. |
