More
Publicity Stunts from 50 Cent

Wow,
everyday there's something new jumping
off in regards to 50 Cent and his album
release date. It's getting straight ridiculous
at this point. Just in case you've been
hiding under a rock and haven't had the
opportunity to watch BET's 106 and Park,
MTV's TRL, listen to Fif's interviews
on NYC’s top radio stations, or
peeped the plethora of news articles on
the internet. Then I'll attempt to catch
you up on just a few.
During a Funk Master Flex interview last
month 50 Cent dissed Lil Wayne by referring
to Lil Wayne as an industry "whore".
He went on to explain the reason for calling
Lil Wayne a whore was because he thinks
that Lil Wayne will jump on a record with
anyone just for money. Actually, I would
consider that hustling, putting in work,
etc. The same things most rappers rap
about including 50 Cent. And why would
dude be concerned with the method in which
another man makes money especially when
it's not affecting his pockets?
During that same interview Fifty discussed
the fact that he & Kanye are both
dropping their albums on September 11.
Fifty stated, "I hope they see and
understand what's getting ready to happen,
I'm not moving, I'm coming September 11,
and if Kanye come that day, then he come
that day. I mean that would be great if
he actually stayed in that date. I think
his people are smart, and I think he's
smart too, and I think they'll move."
Kayne later reported that he wasn't budging
and he'd rather come out on a day like
that, up against 50 Cent.
As the 50 Cent/Kanye West album release
date saga continued, Fifty accepted a
challenge to debate Kanye West on live
television in order to influence fans
on who has the hottest album dropping
on September 11th. This challenge was
posed by Terrance J. co-host of BET's
106 and Park during the show on Aug. 3rd.
"I accept the challenge," 50
Cent told millions of viewers during the
show. "Kanye, he's not going to want
to show up. Just don't be asking me if
I am a conscious rapper. I know exactly
what I am saying - so I am conscious."
Well, a couple of days later during MTV's
show TRL Kayne stated, "I don't have
beef with anyone. What am I going to debate
about? I'm going to go in the studio and
make music. When I heard the thing about
the debate, I thought that was the stupidest
thing...when my album drops and 50's album
drops, you're gonna get a lot of good
music at the same time."
More drama, just a few days ago, it was
reported that Fifty erupted and had a
tantrum within G-Unit offices after finding
out that an Interscope employee allegedly
leaked the video for his third single,
"Follow My Lead" featuring Robin
Thicke, on the internet. Yeah right, at
the rate he’s been dropping singles
Fifty was probably going to drop that
single next week anyway.
Now, with his most recent stunt Fifty
bets his career. He tells SOHH, "Put
it like this," let’s raise
the stakes. If Kanye West sells more records
than 50 Cent on September 11, I'll no
longer write music. I'll write music and
work with my other artists, but I won't
put out any more solo albums.
Fifty seems to be totally obsessed with
record sells and he'll probably do anything
to make sure that he out sells his previous
albums. Think about it, dude is singing
the hook on "Amusement Park,"
he has collaborated on songs with Justin
Timberlake (Pop Singer) and Robin Thicke
(R&B Singer). Damn, aren't those the
same things he was dissing Ja Rule for
a couple years ago? There are only four
weeks until the release date for "Curtis,"
and there's no telling what's in store
for us within this time frame. I wouldn't
be shocked if dude shoots himself nine
times just to create a larger buzz for
this album.
The fact that 50 Cent is a mega rap star
and he's had to resort to releasing mad
singles before the release date of his
third album, create a diss record, contradict
himself by singing hooks, and diss fellow
rappers for making money may all be clear
signs that he's losing his fan base or
he's simply producing wack music. Fifty
may want to come to terms that he has
possibly reached the pinnacle of his rap
career and he may need to prepare for
his descend. We all know the rap game,
and unfortunately it happens to the best
of them.

I’m from queens and I understand where
duke is coming from. There’s a lot of
whack rappers out there that do their
thing on other people’s joints and when
their album drops …. It’s trash!!!!
I’m not a hater … But lil wayne came
at jay like his mic game is like that.
I’m glad fifty is calling out these
rappers, cause pound for pound only
he and jay have been holdin N.Y down
for a minute. But that’s all going to
change with the likes of Busta, Tha
Lox, Fabolous, Keith Murry, and host
of other rappers from the east coast
that spit fire. Fifty knows exactly
what he is doing and regardless of what
you or I think …. He will be around
until he wants to stop. If you don’t
believe it …. Listen to the radio and
you will hear THAT BANGER “ I GET MONEY”
and in the streets..ya dig. R.I.P 2
My Dude Stack Bundles ….Far Rock Wat
