Oscars 2019: SZA and Kendrick Lamar Earn “Best Song” Nomination

The full list of Oscar nominations was announced Tuesday morning and Kendrick Lamar and SZA, the TDE duo have earned a nomination for their hit song “All The Stars” from the Black Panther soundtrack.

The duo already kicked off 2019 with a Golden Globe nomination for the song, which was certified double platinum in the U.S. last May.

Black Panther received seven nominations in total including Best Picture, Original Score, Original Song, Production Design, Costume Design, Sound Editing, and Sound Mixing. The Ryan Coogler-directed film makes history as the first superhero movie to be nominated for Best Picture.

The Oscars will air live from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday, Feb. 24, at 8 p.m. EST.
