Kanye West Cries During BBC Radio 1 Interview
Kanye West links up with Zane Lowe for the first time since their infamous 2013 meeting and cries during the interview.
Kanye West sat down earlier this week with BBC Radio 1 host Zane Lowe and chopped it up on various topics including his relationship with Adidas, his upcoming album, working with music icon, Paul McCartney and his respect for Drake. Yeezy displayed a lot of emotion throughout the interview and at one point he even broke down to tears.
It all went down when the two discussed his relationship with famed design professor Louise Wilson, a friend of Ye’s who passed away in 2014.
“Last time I saw her, we had dinner at Hakkasan, which is my favorite restaurant in London, and I think she knew that she was gonna pass; she just wanted to give me some words of advice moving forward,” he said.
“I didn’t know we were gonna lose her. She told me, she said, Thank you for the times where we came to performances, and this has really meant a lot to me. She would…”
Ye then places his head into his hands and cries, even to the point where he has to get up and step away in order to compose himself. The entire interview is timed at around 45 minutes but Ye breaks down around the 26-minute mark.
