Golden State Warriors Win NBA Championship

The Golden State Warriors won their first NBA Championship in 40 years on the road in Cleveland, defeating the Cavaliers 105-97 in Game 6.

The Warriors overcame the Cavs’ 2-1 lead by winning the final three games. Stephen Curry and Andre Iguodala scored 25 points apiece and Draymond Green notched a triple-double with 16 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. The Warriors are taking the title back to the Bay area.

Andre Iguodala was named MVP of the NBA Finals following the Warriors’ win, becoming the first player to garner the honor without starting every game.

The Warriors’ head coach, Steve Kerr is the seventh coach to win an NBA title in his first season with a team.
