Black Cop Displays How To Arrest Someone Without Injury Or Death

A video of a black police officer arresting an alleged inebriated white guy on Bourbon Street in New Orleans recently has gone viral.

I’m not sure why the video has gone viral because it appears to me to be a text book arrest on the part of the off-duty Louisiana State Trooper. According to reports, the Trooper had just finished a 12-hour shift when he was flagged down around 4 a.m. by a staff member at Beach on Bourbon, about an intoxicated customer refusing to leave. The officer arrived and advised the customer to leave but at some point the guy became confrontational and did not comply with the officer’s request.

As the officer grabbed the alleged intoxicated guy his friend or whoever the guy was he tried to intervene and he was immediately pushed out of the way by the strong-ass cop. The officer then slams the guy to the ground as he continued to resist arrest.

Watch the video below.

Now as anyone with two eyes can see that the arrest was legit even the State Police’s top commander, Col. Michael Edmonson, said the trooper “acted appropriately given the circumstances.” But whatever, they always say that even when the officers are clearly abusing someone but I digress.

What I’m pointing out about this video is that it proves that police can make an arrest without hurting or killing someone if they choose to do so. However, I’ve seen plenty of videos where officers take things to another level especially when the suspect is black. Unarmed black individuals have died at the hands of cops simply because they have resisted. It may not be a good idea to resist but that does not mean that a person should lose their life over it.

After watching this video a few times I am convinced that the cop didn’t use any excessive force. He was alone without any back up and he didn’t use his fists or feet, he didn’t use a deadly choke hold, he didn’t use a tazer, he didn’t need 10 other cops to assist with a beat down and he didn’t “accidentally” shoot the guy in the back. This video is a perfect example of how a police officer can make an arrest without injury or death, especially when hate isn’t involved. What do you think?
